The resource section comprises the three types of documents that educators and students encounter in the Primary Voices lessons:

  • Biographies of the survivors whose testimonies appear on Primary Voices
  • Introductions for students to themes and places pertaining to the history of the Holocaust
  • Activity sheets that support student-led and inquiry-based approaches to the testimony lessons

In accordance with the emphasis on personalized and inquiry-based learning in the 21st Century Learning program and the new B.C. curriculum, the Primary Voices lessons are based on the principle that students can engage most fully in historical thinking when able to lead their own inquiries into the primary- and secondary-source records of the past. See below for resources that can support you in encouraging inquiry-based learning in the classroom.
